Hobbymaster 1/72nd scale HA6613 Eurofighter Typhoon FGR4 "Aggressor" ZJ914, IX(B) Sqn, Royal Air Force, RAF Lossiemouth, 2020.
The Eurofighter Typhoon is a twin-engine multi-role fighter built by a European consortium made up of the UK, Germany, Spain and Italy. With 4 countries involved it is necessary to have what they call Tranches (similar to contracts) that are broken down into batches and blocks. The development of the Eurofighter began in 1983 with the prototype maiden flight of the Eurofighter taking place on March 27th, 1994. The first fully equipped Tranche 2 Instrumented Production Aircraft (IPA7) took to the skies on January 16th, 2008.

After their Tornados were decommissioned, the 9th Squadron was disbanded in 2019, but then reorganised as the first Agressor Unit of the Royal Air Force at the air force base in Lossiemouth. Part of their Tranche 1 Typhoons are given special paintwork and are used to represent the enemy in air combat training for fighter pilots. Due to the bat as the heraldic animal of the unit and its matt black colouring, the livery was soon nicknamed "Batman"
